We’ll start the day with an early morning flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, a private jeep will take us on a scenic 2-hour drive to Sikles, the starting point of our trek. After settling in, we’ll spend the afternoon exploring this charming village and immersing ourselves in the rich Gurung culture of the region.
Today, we’ll embark on a 6-7 hour trek through serene and picturesque forest paths, with opportunities to spot native wildlife and birds, including the elusive red panda. This enchanting trail leads us to Hugu Goth, a quiet village by the river where we’ll spend the night.
Today, we’ll tackle a steep 4-hour round-trip hike to reach the highlight of our trek—Kapuche Lake! We’ll take time to enjoy this stunning alpine lake, including a relaxing yoga session by the water and some tea. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we’ll make our way back to Hugu Goth for the night.
Today, we’ll retrace our steps through the tranquil forest paths back to Sikles, a 5-6 hour journey. Walking in the opposite direction can reveal new perspectives and hidden wonders, offering fresh opportunities to spot wildlife and appreciate the ever-changing scenery along the way.
After breakfast, we’ll take a scenic (and bumpy) drive from Sikles back to Pokhara. Once we arrive, you’ll have the rest of the day free to relax or explore Pokhara at your own pace, whether it’s enjoying the lakeside cafes, taking a peaceful boat ride, or wandering through the local market.
Today, we’ll fly back to Kathmandu, where you’ll have some free time to spend as you wish. In the evening, we’ll come together to celebrate the journey with a special farewell dinner.

Flexible Arrival and Departure:
At Yoga Treks Nepal, we offer flexibility to suit your schedule. The yoga trek program officially begins on Day 1 of the itinerary, but you’re welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer in Kathmandu if you wish.
Arrival: We recommend arriving at least a day before Day 1 to rest and prepare, though you’re free to come earlier for more time to explore.
Departure: The trek ends on the final day, but feel free to extend your stay for extra relaxation or sightseeing.

Where possible, we aim to offer you mindful experiences—whether through invigorating yoga, calming meditation, or self-reflection. The frequency and type of sessions will adapt to the day’s activities and pace, so some days might feature multiple sessions while others might focus on a single practice.
Accommodation: During the trek, you’ll stay in simple guesthouses run by local families, with twin-bed rooms provided. If you’d prefer a private room, it can be arranged subject to availability along the trek. However, private rooms can be easily secured before and after the trek at hotels or boutique guesthouses, and pricing will be provided separately upon request. While blankets are provided, hot water availability may vary, and amenities like hot showers or electricity, when available, may come at an extra cost. For added comfort, you may wish to bring a sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you’ll stay in boutique guesthouses.

While blankets are provided, hot water availability may vary, and amenities like hot showers or electricity, if available, may come at an extra cost. For added comfort, you might want to bring a sleeping bag or sleeping bag slip. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you’ll stay in boutique guesthouses.
Transportation: We will use domestic flights when possible to save time and ensure comfort. For overland travel, private vans or jeeps will be arranged depending on road conditions.
Meals: Meals on the trek will primarily be vegetarian, providing you with nutritious and energizing options. Lunch usually consists of Nepalese dal bhat, which is a hearty lentil soup served with vegetable curry and rice, fueling you for the day ahead. In the evenings, you’ll have a choice from a continental menu featuring a variety of dishes, including soups, pasta, pizza, and noodles, ensuring a satisfying end to each day of exploration.

The overall baggage limit is 15 kg (33 lbs) per passenger, a policy set by the airlines for mountain flights. Excess weight is allowed at an additional expense; however, we recommend not exceeding this weight limit as it should be sufficient for the trek.
During the trek, porters are assigned to carry your bags. One porter carries the luggage of two trekkers in a big duffel bag that the company provides. The maximum weight carried by one porter is 25 kg (55 lbs). This means you will pack two bags for your trek: a day bag for yourself and a soft-shell duffel that goes inside the porter’s bag.

A duffel bag is your pack that goes inside the porter’s bag. You can also use a backpack as long as it is soft-shelled and easy to squeeze in. Each duffel bag should be no more than 75 liters and 10-12 kg per person, or 150 liters and 20-25 kg for two people. Everything that you will not need during the walking hours of the day should go in the duffel bag. Do not put valuables in it, as well as items like cameras or laptops that risk being crushed. |
A day bag is your backpack that you will carry during the trek. Anything that you will need during the day, like rain gear, a warm layer, a water bottle, sunscreen, basic toiletries, your phone, camera, money, important documents, a pair of gloves, a hat, and a few snacks, should go in this bag. A 35-50 liter bag weighing 5-6 kg is your ideal daypack. It is advised to buy a good quality bag with adjustable waist straps, as good load distribution makes all the difference while trekking. |
